Let’s be honest, we would like to believe that all it takes to succeed is hard work and vision, but that’s not how the world (or the hospitality or building industry) works.
An owner has a problem. The architect offers the best building solution, and the construction manager will turn the solution into reality. The plan calls for a window, so the CM hires the subcontractor to install a window that helps solve the owner’s problem. They call a window supplier who… and on, and on…
Our industry is built on relationships. We rely on each other to succeed. That’s the way it is.
That’s what this blog is all about.
Whether we like it or not, we’re all in this together. The hospitality and building industry has had some struggles, but things are improving. Now more than ever we also need to improve, change the way we do things, and work together.
HiFive Development Services is a Midwest design-build construction firm and hotel contractor. We’ve had some success, but we don’t have all the answers. This blog is our way of starting the conversation with a focus on everyone’s benefit. It’s a way to get us all on the same page and eliminate some of the misconceptions that are holding us back, and talk about the events and issues that are directly affecting us. We may not have all the answers, but maybe someone does.
